Here is some nail art I did inspired by the They Might Be Giants song Birdhouse In Your Soul. This was my jam in high school, and I always feel a little teary eyed and nostalgic when I hear it. I'm pretty cool like that.
Black is Wet N Wild Black Creme, of course.
White is Sinful Shine Wisp (go get this at Walgreen's while it's still only a dollar!!!).
Blue is a combo of Wet N Wild Listening to Blue Reed& Teal Slowly and See
This also gives me the opportunity to ramble about the process I took to get to this design.

I'm constantly doodling ideas and trying out things that never see the light of this blog, and thought I would share. While I personally like cheesy and literal designs when it comes to nail art, I was trying to incorporate hearts in a non-cliche way for Valentine's day. I thought about using this song as inspiration. What I initially came up with was this:
I liked this okay, but it just didn't reflect the song enough in my opinion. It was too cutesy and I didn't feel good enough about it to make it its own post.
It took me forever to decide if I should go super literal with the night-lite image, if I should resist the urge to polka dot the other nails, and whether to make the heart blue or pink or what. The final mani is one of the more simple things I've ever posted, but took some of the longest time.
